Tom Longworth

Producer & Mixer

Tom Longworth is an award-winning producer and mixer whose work spans genres and generations of the UK music scene. A graduate of LIPA, Tom cut his teeth as an in-house engineer at Liverpool’s iconic Parr Street Studios, where he uncovered a deep passion for mixing, a craft he’s since made his signature.

With a diverse and ever-growing discography, Tom has mixed records for artists including Vistas, Gavin James, 220 Kid, David Guetta, Sundara Karma, Oscar Lang, Sombr, and two-time BRIT Award nominee Rachel Chinouriri. His adaptability, musical instinct, and refined sonic taste have made him a trusted collaborator for both emerging artists and established acts.

In 2025, Tom’s work on Rachel Chinouriri’s What A Devastating Turn of Events earned him Album of the Year at the MPG Awards, alongside producer Rich Turvey and mastering engineer Matt Colton.

Rich Turvey

Rich Turvey is one of the driving forces behind Liverpool’s evolving musical identity. From early days gigging on piano in Stoke-on-Trent to producing standout records for Blossoms and working closely with The Coral, Rich has carved out a career rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and craft. A graduate of LIPA and former in-house engineer at the legendary Parr Street Studios, he is now co-owner of Kempston Street Studios, a creative hub playing an active role in nurturing the city’s next generation of talent.

Chris Taylor

Musician, Producer, Engineer, Studio Owner, Mentor

Chris Taylor is a cornerstone of Liverpool’s music industry, renowned for his versatility and work ethic, often dubbed “the hardest working man in the North.” He spent over a decade running the iconic Parr Street Studios, the UK’s largest recording facility outside London, hosting legendary artists such as Coldplay, Rihanna, and The Coral.

Alongside collaborators James Skelly (The Coral) and Rich Turvey, Chris relocated the operation in 2022 to the newly established Kempston Street Studios, preserving Parr Street’s spirit by designing a space built around natural light, collaboration, and a Dolby Atmos mix room.

Chris’s discography spans engineering, mixing, and production for a wide range of artists: Blossoms, Brooke Combe, The Coral, Red Rum Club, The Lathums, Miles Kane, Rachel Chinouriri, Courteeners, and many others. He’s equally respected as a live sound engineer, working front-of-house for Miles Kane, The Coral, The Lathums, Blossoms, Circa Waves, The Kooks, and many more.

Beyond the studio and stage, Chris is a dedicated mentor and educator. He was a Teaching Fellow at LIPA (2005–2015), guest-lectured at SAE, Red Bull Music Academy, and Trempolino Arts, and continues to shape emerging talent across the North.

His efforts have been formally recognised: he received MPG Award nominations in 2022 for Breakthrough Producer of the Year and Recording Engineer of the Year, and was invited to present the Studio of the Year award in 2023.
